Ordering Print for frames with border inserts

Framing wall art with and without border inserts, we explain it all!

Hey hey!

Recently we've been asked a bunch about how to order prints (what sizes) if you want to keep the border insert in the frame. The other question we get is how to stop it from rippling/moving in the frame.

Well we have the answer for both those questions that fixes both issues at the same time! Watch our video that shows you how to order for keeping the border insert in your frame and we have simple steps below the video if you still need guidance.

Step 1. Check the size frame you want/have purchased
Step 2. Check the card insert that comes with the frame that tells you the measurements of both the frame and the image size within the border insert
Step 3. Select the size of the frame when shopping with Yorkelee Prints in our dropdown menu
Step 4. Write in the notes field that you have a border insert in your frame and need the image size to be (insert the dimensions of your specific size that is written on the card that comes with the print) It will often be called 'image size' rather than 'frame size'.
Step 5. If you're unsure or just want to make sure we get the message, please text, call or email us after you order and we can check the notes are filled out correctly for the size you would like.

Example 1.

You have a frame size of 50x70cm and the frame card insert says image size with border is 40x50cm. You select the 50x70cm in our dropdown menu and write in the notes section that you want the image to be 40x50cm to fit within the border insert in your frame.

Example 2.

You have a A2 frame and the frame card insert says image size is A3 with the border. You select A2 size in our dropdown menu when checking out and write in the notes field that you need the image size to be A3 as you have a border insert you are keeping in the frame.

Easy! We will make the image smaller than the poster size, so it sits perfectly in the frame and doesn't move around and the entire image sits within the border insert area.
